877's Running Bond of Brothers

A structural bond in operative masonry is a method by which individual masonry units are interlocked or tied together to cause the
entire assembly to act as a single structural unit.

The RUNNING BOND is the simplest and one of five basic structural bonds commonly used today. It is through this bond that the main purpose of Masonry is supported to assist good men in becoming better husbands, fathers, sons and brothers.

Masonry does this by keeping us exposed to moral and ethical teachings and by consistently asking us to consider important character building issues. One of the most important concerns is what each Mason gives back to his community. Masonry’s cornerstone is charity.  In short, by improving ourselves we are placed in a better position to help others.

We are excited to feature another member of our Lodge in our Running Bond of Brothers series, where each installment showcases another Brother from our  fraternity. Meet Bro. Harry Dutchyshyn COL, USA(Ret)! Bro. Harry is a holder of  a 65 year pin, Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, USMA graduate and Engineer. His father started him at 877 in 1952 and his son joined his journey in 1981. We all would like to congratulate Bro Harry and his wife as they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
